La Liga (Week 8) : Atletico beats Real Sociedad 2-0
SPAIN, Oct. 18, 2015 (AMP) — La Liga / Match day 8: After their 1-1 draw against Real Madrid on October 4, Los Colchoneros returned to winning ways with a 2-0 victory over Real Sociedad this Sunday.
Atletico Madrid dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by French midfielder Antoine Griezmann in the 9th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, Los Colchoneros further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Ferreira-Carrasco in stoppage time.
Atletico Madrid climbed to fourth place with 16 points from 8 games, 2 points behind FC Barcelona.
