La Liga (Week 11) : Bilbao defeats Espanyol 2-1
SPAIN, Nov. 8, 2015 (AMP) — La Liga / Match day 11: Three wins in a row for Athletic Bilbao. After their success against Sporting Gijon and Real Betis, Los Leones continued their sensational form in the La Liga with a 2-1 victory over Espanyol this Sunday.
Athletic Bilbao dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by forward Iñaki Williams in the 8th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, Los Leones further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by García in the 64th minute.
Athletic Bilbao remains in 8th place with 17 points from 11 games, one point behind Valencia CF.
