La Liga (Week 27) : Atletico beats Real Sociedad 3-0
SPAIN, Mar. 1, 2016 (AMP) — La Liga / Match day 27: Two wins in a row for Atletico Madrid. After their 0-1 win against Real Madrid on February 27, Los Colchoneros continued their sensational form in the La Liga with a 3-0 victory over Real Sociedad this Tuesday.
Atletico Madrid dominated the first half as a result of the unfortunate own goal scored by Mexican defender Diego Reyes in the 8th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, Los Colchoneros further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Ñiguez '46 and Griezmann '61/penalty).
Atletico Madrid remains in second place with 61 points from 27 games, 5 points behind FC Barcelona, which has a game in hand.
