La Liga (Week 28) : Atletico beats Valencia 3-1
SPAIN, Mar. 6, 2016 (AMP) — La Liga / Match day 28: Three wins in a row for Atletico Madrid. After their success against Real Madrid and Real Sociedad, Los Colchoneros continued their sensational form in the La Liga with a 3-1 victory over Valencia this Sunday.
Atletico Madrid midfielder Antoine Griezmann opened the score in the 24th minute, before seeing Valencia catch up in the 28th minute thanks to Denis Cheryshev. 1-1 at half time. Los Colchoneros eventually won the game in the second period with two more goals by Torres ('72) and Ferreira-Carrasco ('85).
Atletico Madrid remains in second place with 64 points from 28 games, 8 points behind FC Barcelona.
