La Liga (Week 12) : Real Sociedad beats Gijon 3-1
SPAIN, Nov. 20, 2016 (AMP) — La Liga / Match day 12: Four wins in a row for Real Sociedad. After their success against Alavés, Leganés and Atletico Madrid, La Real continued their sensational form in the La Liga with a 3-1 victory over Sporting Gijon this Sunday.
Real Sociedad midfielder Prieto Xabi opened the score in the 19th minute, before seeing Sporting Gijon catch up in the 28th minute thanks to Cop Duje. 1-1 at half time. La Real eventually won the game in the second period with two more goals by Zurutuza ('51) and Martínez ('56).
Real Sociedad climbed to fifth place with 22 points from 12 games, tie on points with Villarreal CF, which has a game in hand.
