La Liga (Week 16) : Alavés beats Betis 1-0
SPAIN, Dec. 16, 2016 (AMP) — La Liga / Match day 16: After their 1-1 draw against Las Palmas on December 11 and 0-0 draw against Eibar on December 11, Los Babazorros returned to winning ways with a 1-0 victory over Real Betis this Friday.
Both teams held off against each other during the first 45 minutes of the game. 0-0 at half time. Everything was settled in the second period with a saving goal by Brazilian forward Deyverson Silva in the 58th minute.
Deportivo Alavés climbed to 12nd place with 21 points from 16 games, tie on points with Malaga CF, which has a game in hand.
