La Liga (Week 28) : Atletico beats Sevilla 3-1
SPAIN, Mar. 19, 2017 (AMP) — La Liga / Match day 28: After two straigth draws against Alavés and Leganés, Los Sevillistas lost 3-1 against Atletico Madrid.
Atletico Madrid dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Uruguayan defender Diego Godín in the 37th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, Los Colchoneros further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Griezmann '61 and Koke '77).
Sevilla FC remains in third place with 57 points from 28 games, 3 points behind FC Barcelona, which has a game in hand.
