La Liga (Week 34) : Gijon draw 1-1 with Espanyol
SPAIN, Apr. 25, 2017 (AMP) — La Liga / Match day 34: The match between Sporting Gijon and Espanyol ended in a 1-1 draw on Tuesday.
Sporting Gijon players started off well by taking the lead thanks to Sporting Gijon forward Víctor Rodríguez in the 39th minute. However, even though they were leading 1-0 at half time, they could not prevent a comeback by Espanyol with a saving goal from Espanyol forward Gerard Moreno in the 55th minute.
RCD Espanyol remains in 9th place with 50 points from 34 games, tie on points with SD Eibar, which has a game in hand.
