La Liga (Week 35) : Real Madrid defeats Valencia 2-1
SPAIN, Apr. 29, 2017 (AMP) — La Liga / Match day 35: Two wins in a row for Real Madrid. After their 2-6 win against Deportivo La Coruna on April 26, Los Blancos continued their sensational form in the La Liga with a 2-1 victory over Valencia this Saturday.
Real Madrid dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Portuguese forward Cristiano Ronaldo in the 27th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, Los Blancos further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Marcelo Vieira with just 4 minutes remaining in regulation time.
Real Madrid climbed to first place with 81 points from 34 games, a 3-point lead over runner-up FC Barcelona.
