SPAIN, Apr. 29, 2017 (AMP) — La Liga / Match day 35: After losing 0-1 to Villarreal on April 25, Los Colchoneros bounced back with a 5-0 victory over Las Palmas this Saturday.
Kevin Gameiro scored dual goals
Atletico Madrid dominated the first half thanks to goals from Gameiro ('2, '18) and Ñiguez ('17). Leading 3-0 at the break, Los Colchoneros further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Partey Thomas '72 and Torres '90).
Atletico Madrid remains in third place with 71 points from 35 games, 7 points behind FC Barcelona, which has a game in hand.
