La Liga (Week 10) : Valencia beats Alavés 2-1
SPAIN, Oct. 28, 2017 (AMP) — La Liga / Match day 10: 6 wins in a row for Valencia. After their success against Malaga, Real Sociedad, Athletic Bilbao, Real Betis and Sevilla, Los Che continued their sensational form in the La Liga with a 2-1 victory over Alavés this Saturday.
Valencia dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Italian forward Simone Zaza in the 34th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, Los Che further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Rodrigo Machado on penalty in the 66th minute.
Valencia CF remains in second place with 24 points from 10 games, one point behind FC Barcelona, which has a game in hand.
