La Liga (Week 14) : Atletico defeats Real Sociedad 2-1
SPAIN, Dec. 2, 2017 (AMP) — La Liga / Match day 14: Two wins in a row for Atletico Madrid. After their 0-5 win against Levante on November 25, Los Colchoneros continued their sensational form in the La Liga with a 2-1 victory over Real Sociedad this Saturday.
Real Sociedad had started off well by taking the lead in the 29th minute with a goal by Willian Jose on penalty. Trailing 1-0 at half time, Los Colchoneros nonetheless manage to reverse the direction of the game by scoring twice in the second period (Luis Filipe '63 and Griezmann '88).
Atletico Madrid remains in third place with 30 points from 14 games, one point behind Valencia CF, which has a game in hand.
