League One (Week 25) : Chesterfield defeats Shrewsbury 7-1

ENGLAND, Jan. 2, 2016 (AMP) — League One / Match day 25: After their 1-1 draw against Coventry City on December 28, the Spireites bounced back with a 7-1 victory over Shrewsbury Town this Saturday.

Novak Lee scored tripple goals

Chesterfield dominated the first half thanks to goals from O Shea Jay ('28, '40 on penalty) and Novak Lee ('45). Leading 3-0 at the break, the Spireites further widened their lead in the second period by scoring four times (Simons Rai '73, '87 and Novak Lee '81/penalty, '89).

Chesterfield FC climbed to 18th place with 27 points from 25 games, tie on points with Barnsley FC, which has a game in hand.
