ENGLAND, Mar. 30, 2016 (AMP) — League One / Match day 39: After losing 4-1 to Rochdale on March 25, the Shrimpers returned to winning ways with a 3-1 victory over Sheffield United this Wednesday.
Barnett Tyrone opened the score in the 28th minute, before seeing Sheffield United catch up in the 34th minute thanks to Hammond Dean. 1-1 at half time. The Shrimpers eventually won the game in the second period with two more goals by Worrall David ('60) and Payne Jack ('90).
Southend United FC climbed to 8th place with 58 points from 39 games, 4 points behind Barnsley FC.
