League One (Week 12) : Rochdale defeats Southend 3-0
ENGLAND, Oct. 8, 2016 (AMP) — League One / Match day 12: Five wins in a row for Rochdale. After their success against Fleetwood Town, Millwall, Bolton Wanderers and Charlton Athletic, the Dale continued their sensational form in the League One with a 3-0 victory over Southend United this Saturday.
Rochdale dominated the first half thanks to goals from Canavan Niall ('18) and Andrew Calvin ('27). Leading 2-0 at the break, the Dale further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Mendez-laing Nathaniel with just 7 minutes remaining in regulation time.
Rochdale AFC climbed to 6th place with 18 points from 12 games, tie on points with Northampton Town FC.
