League One (Week 16) : Fleetwood defeats Gillingham 2-1
ENGLAND, Oct. 29, 2016 (AMP) — League One / Match day 16: After losing 2-1 to Millwall on October 22, the Cod Army returned to winning ways with a 2-1 victory over Gillingham this Saturday.
Fleetwood Town dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Ball David in the 19th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Cod Army further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Hunter Ashley with just 8 minutes remaining in regulation time.
Fleetwood Town FC climbed to 10th place with 22 points from 15 games, only one point behind AFC Wimbledon.
