League Two (Week 28) : Northampton beats Morecambe 3-1
ENGLAND, Jan. 23, 2016 (AMP) — League Two / Match day 28: Five wins in a row for Northampton Town. After their success against Accrington Stanley, Barnet, Plymouth Argyle and Dagenham & Redbridge, the Cobblers continued their sensational form in the League Two with a 3-1 victory over Morecambe this Saturday.
Northampton Town dominated the first half thanks to goals from Collins James ('30) and O Toole John-joe ('40). Leading 2-0 at the break, the Cobblers further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Mcdonald Rod in the 51st minute.
Northampton Town FC climbed to first place with 58 points from 27 games, a 2-point lead over runner-up Plymouth Argyle FC.
