Ligue 1 (Week 12) : Monaco and Reims tied at 1-1
FRANCE, Oct. 31, 2014 (AMP) — Ligue 1 / Match day 12: The match between Monaco and Reims ended in a 1-1 draw on Friday.
The Monacos started off well by taking the lead thanks to Nigerian defender Elderson Echiejile in the 20th minute. However, even though they were leading 1-0 at half time, they could not prevent a comeback by Reims with a saving goal from Cameroonian forward Benjamin Moukandjo in the 80th minute.
AS Monaco climbed to 7th place with 18 points from 12 games, tie on points with Bordeaux, which has a game in hand.
