Ligue 1 (Week 17) : Marseille and Montpellier play out 2-2 draw
FRANCE, Dec. 6, 2015 (AMP) — Ligue 1 / Match day 17: The match between Marseille and Montpellier ended in a 2-2 draw on Sunday.
Montpellier players started off well by taking the lead thanks to Ninga Casimir in the 32nd minute. However, even though they were leading 1-0 at half time, and despite Ninga Casimir goal ('56) in the second period, they could not prevent a comeback by Marseille with goals by Rémy Cabella ('48) and Bouna Sarr ('72).
Olympique de Marseille are down in 9th place with 23 points from 17 games, 2 points behind Saint-Etienne, which has a game in hand.
