FRANCE, Jan. 17, 2016 (AMP) — Ligue 1 / Match day 21: After losing 2-1 to Nantes on January 10, Saint-Etienne returned to winning ways with a 1-0 victory over Lyon this Sunday.
Both teams held off against each other during the first 45 minutes of the game. 0-0 at half time. Everything was settled in the second period with a saving goal by Soderlund Alexander in the 76th minute.
Saint-Etienne climbed to fifth place with 32 points from 21 games, only one point behind OGC Nice.
