Ligue 1 (Week 24) : Monaco defeats Bastia 2-0
FRANCE, Feb. 2, 2016 (AMP) — Ligue 1 / Match day 24: After losing 3-0 to Angers on January 30, Monaco returned to winning ways with a 2-0 victory over Bastia this Tuesday.
Monaco dominated the first half as a result of the unfortunate own goal scored by defender François Modesto in the 35th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, Monaco players further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Silva in the 73rd minute.
AS Monaco remains in second place with 42 points from 24 games, 21 points behind Paris Saint-Germain, which has a game in hand.
