Ligue 1 (Week 37) : Lyon beats Monaco 6-1
FRANCE, May. 7, 2016 (AMP) — Ligue 1 / Match day 37: Three wins in a row for Lyon. After their success against Toulouse and GFC Ajaccio, “Les Gones” continued their sensational form in the Ligue 1 with a 6-1 victory over Monaco this Saturday.
Alexandre Lacazette scored tripple goals
Lyon dominated the first half thanks to goals from Ghezzal ('3), Lacazette ('8, '35) and Yanga-Mbiwa ('34). Leading 4-1 at the break, “Les Gones” further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Yanga-Mbiwa '59 and Lacazette '81).
Olympique Lyonnais remains in second place with 65 points from 37 games, 27 points behind Paris Saint-Germain, which has a game in hand.
