Ligue 1 (Week 19) : Metz and Guingamp tied at 2-2
FRANCE, Dec. 21, 2016 (AMP) — Ligue 1 / Match day 19: Guingamp was held to a 2-2 draw by Metz on Wednesday.
Metz players started off well by taking the lead thanks to Metz forward Opa Nguette in the 12th minute. However, even though they were leading 1-0 at half time, and despite Hein Gauthier goal ('90) in the second period, they could not prevent a comeback by Guingamp with dual goals from Guingamp forward Jimmy Briand ('49 and '74.
Guingamp remains in fifth place with 30 points from 19 games, 4 points behind Olympique Lyonnais, which has a game in hand.
