Ligue 1 (Week 34) : PSG beats Montpellier 2-0
FRANCE, Apr. 22, 2017 (AMP) — Ligue 1 / Match day 34: 8 wins in a row for PSG. After their success against Marseille, Nancy, Lorient, Lyon, Guingamp, Angers and Metz, PSG continued their sensational form in the Ligue 1 with a 2-0 victory over Montpellier this Saturday.
PSG dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Uruguayan forward Edinson Cavani in the 29th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, PSG players further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Di Maria Angel in the 48th minute.
Paris Saint-Germain climbed to first place with 80 points from 34 games, a 3-point lead over runner-up AS Monaco, which has two games in hand.
