Ligue 1 (Week 36) : Lyon beats Nantes 3-2
FRANCE, May. 7, 2017 (AMP) — Ligue 1 / Match day 36: Two wins in a row for Lyon. After their 1-2 win against Angers on April 28, “Les Gones” continued their sensational form in the Ligue 1 with a 3-2 victory over Nantes this Sunday.
Maxwel Cornet scored dual goals
Nantes had started off well by taking the lead in the 19th minute with a goal by midfielder Valentin Rongier. Trailing 1-0 at half time, “Les Gones” nonetheless manage to reverse the direction of the game by scoring three times in the second period (Fekir '65 on penalty and Cornet '70, '80).
Olympique Lyonnais remains in fourth place with 61 points from 36 games, 16 points behind OGC Nice, which has a game in hand.
