Ligue 1 (Week 36) : Metz beats Lille 2-0
FRANCE, May. 6, 2017 (AMP) — Ligue 1 / Match day 36: Two wins in a row for Metz. After their 2-1 win against Nancy on April 29, Metz continued their sensational form in the Ligue 1 with a 2-0 victory over Lille this Saturday.
Metz dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Mandjeck Georges in the 36th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, Metz players further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Cohade in the 55th minute.
Lille remains in 11st place with 43 points from 36 games, one point behind Rennes, which has a game in hand.
