Ligue 2 (Week 27) : Red Star beats Niort 3-2
FRANCE, Feb. 24, 2017 (AMP) — Ligue 2 / Match day 27: After their 1-1 draw against Laval on February 17 and 1-1 draw against RC Strasbourg on February 17, L'Étoile rouge returned to winning ways with a 3-2 victory over Niort this Friday.
Red Star dominated the first half thanks to goals from Chavalerin ('1) and Mhirsi Idriss ('37). Leading 2-1 at the break, L'Étoile rouge further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Toudic Julien on penalty in the 60th minute.
Chamois Niortais FC are down in 12nd place with 36 points from 27 games, tie on points with Gazelec Ajaccio.
