AUCKLAND, Jul. 9, 2002 (AMP) — New Zealand 2002 : New Zealand defeated the Solomon Islands by a big score of 6-1 (halftime: 3-0), in a OFC Nations Cup group stage game on Tuesday at the North Harbour Stadium in Auckland.
Ivan Vicelich and Campbell scored dual goals
New Zealand dominated the first half thanks to goals from Vicelich ('28, '45) and Urlovic ('42). Leading 3-0 at the break, the New Zealanders further widened their lead in the second period by scoring three times (Campbell '50, '75 and Burton '88).
