OFC Nations Cup 2016 : New Caledonia beats Samoa 7-0
PORT MORESBY, Jun. 1, 2016 (AMP) — Papua New Guinea 2016 : New Caledonia defeated Samoa by a big score of 7-0 (halftime: 4-0), in a OFC Nations Cup group stage game on Wednesday night at the Sir John Guise Stadium in Port Moresby.
Kayara scored dual goals
New Caledonia dominated the first half thanks to goals from Kayara ('18, '30), Nemia ('28) and Zeoula ('38 on penalty). Leading 4-0 at the break, the New Caledonians further widened their lead in the second period by scoring three times (Wadriako '53, Cexome '79 and Dahite '89/penalty).
The result put the New Caledonians top of Group A with 4 points. Samoa is bottom with no points. In their last game, New Caledonia will meet second-placed Tahiti at the Sir John Guise Stadium on June 5, while Samoa will face Papua New Guinea.
