SALVADOR, Aug. 4, 2016 (AMP) — Rio 2016 : Mexico tied 2-2 with Germany (halftime: 0-0), in a Olympics group stage game on Thursday afternoon at the Arena Fonte Nova in Salvador.
No goals in the first half and two each in the second, Peralta ('52) and Pizarro ('60) for Mexico, Gnabry ('58) and Ginter ('78) for Germany.
The result left both teams on top of Group C with one point. In their next game, Germany will meet South Korea at the Arena Fonte Nova on August 7, while Mexico will face the Fiji.
