Germany beats Fiji to reach Olympics quarterfinals

BELO HORIZONTE, Aug. 10, 2016 (AMP) — Rio 2016 : Germany defeated the Fiji by a big score of 10-0 (halftime: 6-0), in a Olympics group stage game on Wednesday afternoon at the Mineirao Stadium in Belo Horizonte.

Nils Petersen served up another goal feast

Germany dominated the first half thanks to goals from Gnabry ('8, '45), Petersen ('14, '33, '40) and Meyer ('30). Leading 6-0 at the break, the Germans further widened their lead in the second period by scoring four times (Meyer '49, '52 and Petersen '63/penalty, '70).
