Premier League (Week 18) : Southampton defeats Crystal Palace 3-1
ENGLAND, Dec. 26, 2014 (AMP) — Premier League / Match day 18: Two wins in a row for Southampton. After their 3-0 win against Everton on December 20, the Saints continued their sensational form in the Premier League with a 3-1 victory over Crystal Palace this Friday.
Southampton dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Senegalese midfielder Mane in the 17th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Saints further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Bertrand '48 and Alderweireld '53).
Southampton climbed to fourth place with 32 points from 18 games, 3 points behind Manchester United FC.
