Premier League (Week 17) : Southampton beats Everton 3-0
ENGLAND, Dec. 20, 2014 (AMP) — Premier League / Match day 17: After four straigth defeats, the Saints bounced back with a 3-0 victory over Everton this Saturday.
Southampton dominated the first half as a result of the unfortunate own goal scored by Belgian forward Romelu Lukaku in the 38th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Saints further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Pellè '65 and Yoshida '82).
Southampton remains in fifth place with 29 points from 17 games, 2 points behind West Ham United.
