Premier League (Week 35) : Sunderland beats Southampton 2-1
ENGLAND, May. 2, 2015 (AMP) — Premier League / Match day 35: After their 1-1 draw against Stoke City on April 25, the Rokerites returned to winning ways with a 2-1 victory over Southampton this Saturday.
Jordi Gómez scored dual goals
Sunderland midfielder Jordi Gómez opened the score in the 21st minute on penalty, before seeing Southampton catch up in the 22nd minute thanks to Mane. 1-1 at half time. The Rokerites eventually won the game in the second period with with another goal by Gómez on penalty in the 55th minute.
Southampton remains in 7th place with 57 points from 35 games, one point behind Tottenham Hotspur, which has a game in hand.
