Premier League (Week 26) : Everton defeats Sunderland 2-0

ENGLAND, Feb. 25, 2017 (AMP) — Premier League / Match day 26: After their 0-0 draw against Middlesbrough on February 11, the Toffees returned to winning ways with a 2-0 victory over Sunderland this Saturday.

Everton dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Senegalese midfielder Idrissa Gueye in the 40th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Toffees further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Lukaku with just 10 minutes remaining in regulation time.

Everton remains in 7th place with 44 points from 26 games, 4 points behind Manchester United FC, which has a game in hand.
