Primeira Liga (Week 11) : Guimaraes defeats Moreirense 2-1
PORTUGAL, Nov. 28, 2014 (AMP) — Primeira Liga / Match day 11: Five wins in a row for Vitoria Guimaraes. After their success against Boavista, Vitoria Setubal, Sporting Lisbon and Arouca, the Vimaranenses continued their sensational form in the Primeira Liga with a 2-1 victory over Moreirense this Friday.
Moreirense defender Elízio opened the score in the 3rd minute, before seeing Vitoria Guimaraes catch up in the 33rd minute thanks to André André penalty kick. 1-1 at half time. The Vimaranenses eventually won the game in the second period with with a goal by Alvez with just 8 minutes remaining in regulation time.
Vitoria SC climbed to first place with 26 points from 11 games, one point ahead of runner-up SL Benfica, which has a game in hand.
