Primeira Liga (Week 18) : Guimaraes and Gil Vicente play out 2-2 draw
PORTUGAL, Jan. 24, 2015 (AMP) — Primeira Liga / Match day 18: Vitoria Guimaraes was held to a 2-2 draw by Gil Vicente on Saturday.
Gil Vicente players started off well by taking the lead thanks to Nigerian forward Simy in the 27th minute. However, even though they were leading 1-0 at half time, and despite Evaldo goal ('55) in the second period, they could not prevent a comeback by Vitoria Guimaraes with goals by Valente ('79) and André André ('90 on penalty).
Vitoria SC remains in fourth place with 35 points from 18 games, one point behind Sporting Clube de Portugal, which has a game in hand.
