Primeira Liga (Week 21) : Maritimo defeats Penafiel 4-3
PORTUGAL, Feb. 15, 2015 (AMP) — Primeira Liga / Match day 21: After losing 1-2 to Gil Vicente on February 8, the Verde-Rubros bounced back with a 4-3 victory over Penafiel this Sunday.
Penafiel had started off well by taking the lead thanks to goals by Rabiola ('4) and Fontes ('19), while Maritimo only scored once Xavier ('33 on penalty). Trailing 2-1 at half time, the Verde-Rubros nonetheless manage to reverse the direction of the game by scoring three times in the second period (Ebinho '46, Raul '49 and Marega '78).
CS Maritimo climbed to 9th place with 27 points from 21 games, 2 points behind FC Paços de Ferreira.
