Primeira Liga (Week 25) : Benfica beats Braga 2-0
PORTUGAL, Mar. 14, 2015 (AMP) — Primeira Liga / Match day 25: Five wins in a row for Benfica. After their success against Vitoria Setubal, Moreirense, Estoril and Arouca, the Eagles continued their sensational form in the Primeira Liga with a 2-0 victory over Braga this Saturday.
Benfica dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Brazilian forward Jonas in the 21st minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Eagles further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Eliseu in the 77th minute.
SL Benfica remains in first place with 65 points from 25 games, a 7-point lead over runner-up FC Porto, which has a game in hand.
