Primeira Liga (Week 26) : Rio Ave beats Benfica 2-1
PORTUGAL, Mar. 21, 2015 (AMP) — Primeira Liga / Match day 26: After five straigth victories against Vitoria Setubal, Moreirense, Estoril, Arouca and Braga, the Eagles lost 2-1 against Rio Ave.
Benfica had started off well by taking the lead in the 5th minute with a goal by Argentine forward Eduardo Salvio. Trailing 1-0 at half time, Rio Grande nonetheless manage to reverse the direction of the game by scoring twice in the second period (Ukra '74 on penalty and Del Valle '90).
SL Benfica remains in first place with 65 points from 26 games, a 4-point lead over runner-up FC Porto, which has a game in hand.
