Primeira Liga (Week 26) : Sporting defeats Guimaraes 4-1
PORTUGAL, Mar. 22, 2015 (AMP) — Primeira Liga / Match day 26: Three wins in a row for Sporting Lisbon. After their success against Penafiel and Maritimo, the Sportinguistas continued their sensational form in the Primeira Liga with a 4-1 victory over Vitoria Guimaraes this Sunday.
Sporting Lisbon dominated the first half thanks to goals from Mario ('14), Adrien ('34 on penalty) and Slimani ('45). Leading 3-0 at the break, the Sportinguistas further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Nani on penalty in the 75th minute.
Sporting Clube de Portugal remains in third place with 56 points from 26 games, 6 points behind FC Porto.
