PORTUGAL, Mar. 14, 2016 (AMP) — Primeira Liga / Match day 26: Four wins in a row for Benfica. After their success against Paços de Ferreira, União da Madeira and Sporting Lisbon, the Eagles continued their sensational form in the Primeira Liga with a 4-1 victory over Tondela this Monday.
Jonas Oliveira scored dual goals
Benfica dominated the first half thanks to goals from Jardel Nivaldo Vieira ('11) and Jonas Oliveira ('24). Leading 2-0 at the break, the Eagles further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Jonas Oliveira '69 and Mitroglou Kostas '87).
SL Benfica remains in first place with 64 points from 26 games, a 2-point lead over runner-up Sporting Clube de Portugal.
