Primeira Liga (Week 33) : Sporting beats Setubal 5-0
PORTUGAL, May. 7, 2016 (AMP) — Primeira Liga / Match day 33: 8 wins in a row for Sporting Lisbon. After their success against Estoril, Arouca, Belenenses, Maritimo, Moreirense, União da Madeira and Porto, the Sportinguistas continued their sensational form in the Primeira Liga with a 5-0 victory over Vitoria Setubal this Saturday.
Martins Gelson and Ruiz Bryan scored dual goals
Sporting Lisbon dominated the first half thanks to goals from Martins Gelson ('25) and Gutierrez Teofilo ('37). Leading 2-0 at the break, the Sportinguistas further widened their lead in the second period by scoring three times (Martins Gelson '55 and Ruiz Bryan '71, '90).
Sporting Clube de Portugal climbed to first place with 83 points from 33 games, one point ahead of runner-up SL Benfica, which has a game in hand.
