Primeira Liga (Week 14) : Guimaraes beats Setubal 3-1
PORTUGAL, Dec. 18, 2016 (AMP) — Primeira Liga / Match day 14: Two wins in a row for Vitoria Guimaraes. After their 1-2 win against Boavista on December 10, the Vimaranenses continued their sensational form in the Primeira Liga with a 3-1 victory over Vitoria Setubal this Sunday.
Vitoria Guimaraes dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by midfielder Pedro Joao in the 32nd minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Vimaranenses further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Maia Phillipe '72 and Fortes Hernani '79).
Vitoria SC climbed to fourth place with 27 points from 14 games, tie on points with Sporting Clube de Portugal, which has a game in hand.
