PORTUGAL, Dec. 17, 2016 (AMP) — Primeira Liga / Match day 14: Two wins in a row for Benfica. After their 2-1 win against Sporting Lisbon on December 11, the Eagles continued their sensational form in the Primeira Liga with a 1-0 victory over Estoril this Saturday.
Estoril made Benfica doubt themselves for forty-five minutes. 0-0 at half time. Everything was settled in the second period with a saving goal by Mexican forward Jimenez Raul on penalty in the 61st minute.
SL Benfica remains in first place with 35 points from 14 games, a 4-point lead over runner-up FC Porto.
