Primeira Liga (Week 33) : Benfica defeats Guimaraes 5-0
PORTUGAL, May. 13, 2017 (AMP) — Primeira Liga / Match day 33: Three wins in a row for Benfica. After their success against Estoril and Rio Ave, the Eagles continued their sensational form in the Primeira Liga with a 5-0 victory over Vitoria Guimaraes this Saturday.
Jonas Oliveira scored dual goals
Benfica dominated the first half thanks to goals from Cervi Franco ('11), Jimenez Raul ('16), Pizzi Duarte ('37) and Jonas Oliveira ('44). Leading 4-0 at the break, the Eagles further widened their lead in the second period with another goal by Jonas Oliveira on penalty in the 67th minute.
SL Benfica remains in first place with 81 points from 33 games, a 8-point lead over runner-up FC Porto, which has a game in hand.
