PORTUGAL, Sep. 16, 2017 (AMP) — Primeira Liga / Match day 6: After a 2-1 victory over Portimonense on September 8, the Eagles lost 2-1 against Boavista.
Benfica had started off well by taking the lead in the 8th minute with a goal by Brazilian forward Jonas Oliveira. Trailing 1-0 at half time, the Panthers nonetheless manage to reverse the direction of the game by scoring twice in the second period (Santos Renato '55 and Espinho Fabio '75).
SL Benfica are down in fourth place with 13 points from 6 games, 2 points behind CS Maritimo.
