PORTUGAL, Sep. 23, 2017 (AMP) — Primeira Liga / Match day 7: After losing 2-1 to Boavista on September 16, the Eagles bounced back with a 2-0 victory over Paços de Ferreira this Saturday.
Benfica dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Cervi Franco in the 20th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Eagles further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Jonas Oliveira in the 61st minute.
SL Benfica climbed to third place with 16 points from 7 games, 3 points behind Sporting Clube de Portugal.
