Segunda division (Week 17) : Alavés beats Albacete 2-1
SPAIN, Dec. 14, 2014 (AMP) — Segunda division / Match day 17: After losing 0-2 to Numancia on December 6 and 2-1 to Ponferradina on December 6, Los Babazorros returned to winning ways with a 2-1 victory over Albacete this Sunday.
Cerda opened the score in the 5th minute, before seeing Albacete catch up in the 44th minute thanks to Azaceta own goal. 1-1 at half time. Los Babazorros eventually won the game in the second period with with a goal by Velez in the 66th minute.
Deportivo Alavés climbed to 11st place with 22 points from 17 games, only one point behind CD Numancia.
