Segunda division (Week 17) : Santander and Gijon play out 1-1 draw
SPAIN, Dec. 13, 2014 (AMP) — Segunda division / Match day 17: Sporting Gijon was held to a 1-1 draw by Racing Santander on Saturday.
Sporting Gijon players started off well by taking the lead thanks to Perez in the 22nd minute. However, even though they were leading 1-0 at half time, they could not prevent a comeback by Racing Santander with a saving goal from Inaki in the 61st minute.
Real Sporting de Gijon remains in second place with 33 points from 17 games, tie on points with UD Las Palmas, which has a game in hand.
